How do you create buyers on facebook? You want to convert your facebook groups, profile pages, and fan pages into sales for your company. From the Twitter accounts of the different local media outlets, restaurants and venues you searched, you want to ‘steal’ the followers. For example, we searched San Diego for the location and now we chose Fox5 News as the focus and where we want to find local followers we want to engage in our business. First you go to their followers, and we start to add all the people of Fox 5 News’ followers. And why do you do this? Because it is an easy way to get people to follow you back, statically 25% to 50% people will follow you back. The best time of day to follow people are later in the evening and during the weekend.

When people start following your Twitter page, people will see all your updates. You need to interact with the people who follow your Twitter page, do this by responding to their ‘Tweets.’ Engage with all the people that are following you and from that you can start creating a viral effect and you will start receiving more and more recognition.

This last part is more along the lines of actually distributing quality content that is going to drive revenue to your business. For example if we make a new blog post, we can use our Twitter account to advertise it, saying “Hey, we just made a new blog post on ______” then put the URL in the tweet. The timeline of autoresponder messages depends on your business, maybe you want to draw it out for two weeks or even six months. It depends on your niche and what will be the best for your business. So the timeline is really up to you and what is best for your business, but let’s create a sample timeline of 6 days.

Day 0- Use a message with massive value, and no sales. Use a welcome or congratulations email, and make the potential customers feel a part of your community. Also put the links to all your social networks, like Facebook, Twitter, and etc in hopes they will join all of them. This is huge part of communicating to the new audience, the more places you can connect with people, the more you can interact with and engage them and eventually sell your product or service!
Day 1- Use a value message and include social networks again.
Day 2- Use a value message and lead up to the sale you will give in Day 3, like advertising a webinar or a special offer that will be held the next day.
Day 3- Finally send the sales message, but remember wrap it in content; so present value by showing the potential customer that you can solve a problem that they have. So depending on your niche, you want to show you can solve a problem that many of the people in your niche have.
Day 4- Follow up on the sale and give some more value regarding the problem you can potentially solve, and maybe a last minute chance to buy your product or service.
Day 5- Start onto a new topic or a new problem that you can solve and start providing value around that new problem.

Email Marketing Tips- How to Increase Email Deliverability Rates

Here are a couple quick recommendations on increasing email deliverability rates:

1)      Make sure you use a reputable email marketing company; we know it should go without saying, but some people will go with a cheaper email contact management company, but if you do go cheaper, your emails will not go through.  If you spend a little bit more money for a better email management company, you will instantly see your email deliverability rates increase and that extra money you spent will easily be recouped with the sales you make.

2)      Use a Double Opt-In: If youre not using a double opt-in, your emails may be sent from a different server. So the email companies will use different email servers, one for single Opt-In’s; this means it will be ‘spammier’ and one for double Opt-ins which is cleaner and odds are your emails are going to get delivered better. Ask your email provider about email servers to understand single or double opt-ins.

3)      Don’t make your emails ‘spammy!’ Most companies use spam arrest checkers and they will tell you if your email will be blocked for spam.

  1. Words like ‘Cash’ or ‘Money’ or ‘Viagra’ or anything doing with porn will be caught in spam
  2. If there is a large product launch or big people out there with the same subject, emails may be deemed as spam because so many emails are going through with the same keywords or links.

4)      Watch the size of your emails. Make them small as possible. If you use pictures understand it might decrease the email deliverability.  And also people might not be able to see them because html may not be read on phones or that email company.

How to Choose the Right Domain Name for Your Business

All right, so in terms of all the talk about domain names, this is probably the most important conversation.  We are going to talk about how to pick the right domain name for your business. If you do not know what a domain name, it is that place on the web on which your site sites.  It’s the http://www.yoursitehere.com in the address bar on your Internet browser. So for Next Level Profits, it would be nlprofits.biz.  Some other examples would be MatRobar.com or HolistikHealth.com.
So a few things that you want to consider when picking a domain name are:

  1. Something people can remember
    -It does not have to thyme or be hokey, but a short, easy to remember domain name will go a long way.
  2. Relate to your niche
    -Does your domain name speak to the purpose of your site?  It should.
  3. Sometimes you need keywords
    -A keyword rich domain name is often the most powerful form of SEO available and I highly recommend strongly considering buying a keyword rich domain name.

There are really two types of domain names in my mind:

  1. Keyword Domains (rich in keywords like www.BulldogTraining.com)
  2. Found Domains (such as twitter.com –no keywords for the niche here)

So which one should you use?

Well, keywords will give you a lot better search engine optimization and I mean a lot. An example of a keyword domain name would be www.dog-obedience-training-review.com. This domain name is not the easiest name to remember, but it is a big keyword. Dog tips or golden retriever tips would be easier to remember, but would not have the keyword relevance you might be looking for if your focusing on Dog Obedience Training.  For most people I always recommend a keyword rich domain name.

A domain name that is ‘found’ or revolving around brand is one that does not contain keywords, an example is Cesar Millan, the ‘Dog Whisperer’, who’s domain name is Cesarsway.com. This domain name does not have any keywords about training dogs, so he has chosen that the Brand (himself) is what he wants to become searchable.

There are pros and cons to both types of domain names; if you have a very recognizable brand name, you should use your brand name. Like for example Coca-Cola; one would be able to remember that brand name easily.  But if you’re new to the business, it might be better to use a keyword domain. It is ultimately up to you to weigh the pros and cons of each type. If you are going to be doing any marketing, especially print marketing, try to make the domain name short as more letters equals more money and harder to remember. You need to think of the all the costly measures of a longer domain name; like ink, time, space, etc.  You also want something that people can easily remember. The shorter the better, like nlprofits.biz; could have been next-level-profits.com.

One last piece of advice to answer a question we get all the time.  When it comes to the type of domain like: .com, .org, .net; it is always best to get a .com because the search engines love them and people understand them.  Unless you have a specific reason to get a .org or .biz or .net stick with the .com it will just make things a lot easier.

So you want to buy a domain name, great that’s the first step.  Now you just have to decide which of the three hundred different sites should actually buy from.

The first place most people think of when it comes to buying a domain name would be GoDaddy.com.  And that’s fine they have paid a great deal of money to be the first name that pops in your mind, great marketing.  In truth, for 95% of the world, GoDaddy.com will be just fine, but we don’t necessarily recommend GoDaddy.com because they have some odd terms and conditions that basically say they have more rights to the domains than many business people and internet marketers think they should, including us.  Many internet marketers do not use GoDaddy.com because of the control issues in the terms and conditions.

We typically recommend just pickup up some free domains when you choose your actual web host!  Most web hosting plans now a days come with a few free domains as well, so why no do it all in one step and save 20 bucks or so in the process. We like Liquid Web which is a website that provides the option of buying both the domain and the hosting service, that actually makes your domain live.  On Liquid Web their lowest cost is $14.95 for 1 GB disk space, 120 GB transfer, and 2 free domains.  And from there, you can get more disk space, transfer, and domains for a high price.  Not bad considering that a domain itself is usually 7-10 bucks or so.
