Today we are going to talk about landing pages. What is a landing page, you say? Well there are different definitions but, according to Wikipedia, a landing page is the page that appears when a potential customer clicks on an advertisement or a search engine result link. The page will usually display content that is a logical extension of the advertisement or link. And Next Level Profits defines it as a page created to add value to your visitor and initiate a call to action. In addition, the landing page is created to be targeted and relevant to the visitor viewing the page or in other words, optimized.

Here are different types of landing pages,

- Reference based: which provides information to the visitor and typically has links and reference points on the page to direct the visitor to the proper web page based on their specific need or desire. For example, Inc.com. Once you go to Inc.com, one of the things you will notice is that you have several different options of what you want to do on the page, like “Running a business,” “Finance,” “Leadership,” and etc. This landing page allows you to see all the parts of the website by looking at one page, which makes it easy to choose where you want to go.

- Call to Action: which is created for the purpose of inspiring a specific call to action from your visitor. Some examples would be filling out a form, sharing information with a friend, or making a purchase. An example of a Call to Action landing page would be our own website, nlprofits.biz. If you go to our landing page, the first thing you will notice is the video which is made to engage the visitor, and explain what Next Level Profits does, then it gives the call to action which asks for people to give their information for more video tutorials on marketing.

Landing page basics are:

- Easy to navigate: you don’t want your landing page to be overly crowded or confusing. Buttons and the call to action need to prominent. You want your visitor to go where they want to go quickly without needing to think very hard.

- Engage your visitor: A great way to entice your visitor is via video, videos are dynamic and can really bring your visitors’ focus in on what you desire.

- Targeted and Relevant: Your landing page needs to be relevant to the information you are putting out there. It is never good to have off topic information on your landing page, it will just create confusion and you may lose your visitor.

- Obvious purpose: Visitors need to know quickly what the purpose of your landing page once they look at it. You don’t want to lose visitors because they are lost and don’t understand your page’s purpose.

How to make your landing page better?

- Use video: a dynamic way to engage a visitor. You always pay attention to a video, especially when is automatically plays once you hit the page, right? Well, this can help your visitor understand what your business is all about with a sweet and simple video.

- Simplify page: Really take a step back and leverage what you need and don’t need on the page. This is important to create an environment that’s more user friendly and in the end will keep more visitors engaged.

- Add value: It is always important to add value to the visitors, no matter what your niche is.

In conclusion, properly optimized landing pages can create dynamic results for your business. In addition, you can install analytics on your page to know the exact responses of your visitors which in turn will allow you to measure, monitor, adjust and control. You can really understand what each visitor is doing on your page. You can find out where visitors came from, what they clicked, how long they stayed on the page, and basically analyze almost every component on what the visitor is doing. Check out nlprofits.biz for more internet marketing strategies!

Video marketing is defined by Next Level Profits as “a powerful method to engage your client, dominate the search engine and create massive traffic for your business. All through the powerful medium of video.” If you start to think about it, Google purchased YouTube for 1.6 billion dollars. Also, it is estimated that over 60% of all internet data transfer utilizes some form of video.
You are probably thinking, why video? Well, search engines love video therefore ranking video highly. Your goal as a business is to rank high under targeted keywords. Video allows your business to do this – even in highly competitive markets. Video is easy to create and is very engaging. When people visit websites and there is a video playing, they watch it. People spend hours on YouTube alone, it pulls you in and you absorb the information that is being given to you.
Because viewers are engaged in videos, it allows you as a business to bring the viewer down a specific path that leads to the message that you want to deliver to your consumer. It allows the viewer to engage with your business in the place that they are most comfortable – at home in their sweats, relaxed on the computer or at work when they are bored and browsing the internet. Video allows you to do a lot of fun things; it is very dynamic and flexible. You can pay people to create extremely professional high-in videos or do something as simple as a powerpoint video.
The bottom line is that video marketing when coupled with a strategic marketing plan, can create dynamic results for your business. People like videos, search engines like videos; knowing this, you should be able to utilize video to increase sales, awareness, and profit for your business.

Here is the more advanced step of using the social media website, Twitter. This is absolutely optional but super powerful! So you already have an account on Twitter, but here are some tools to make ‘tweeting’ easier!

Hootsuite: Hootsuite is a very important social media website, so first off create an account there. One of the great things this site does is you can manage more than one Twitter account at a time. This way you don’t have to log in and out of different accounts, they can all be managed on Hootsuite. Another useful tool this site provides is the ability to shrink a URL if it is too long. Hootsuite also provides the ability for your ‘tweets’ to become automated, so you can choose when you want to send out a message if you want to send it in the future. Say for example you have a meeting right at the time you want to update your followers about an important seminar, or whatever, you can set a message for a certain time on Hootsuite.

RSS integration: You can also create an RSS feed that comes from your blog, so you don’t have to update people on your blog, it does updates automatically when you post a blog. You can control the RSS feed, and if you don’t know what an RSS feed is, it is a little orange button with white lines and from there you are able to click on this and find all your blog posts and when you posted them. If you copy your RSS feed link and put it in your Hootsuite and from there it can be checked in the amount of time you choose, so for example every 12 hours. After you choose the time you want your RSS feed to be checked, you pick which Twitter account or accounts you want this news to be posted on. So when you create a new blog it will show up on your RSS feed, and then Hootsuite will check the RSS feed and in turn show that on your Twitter account or accounts.

Ping.fm: On your Hootsuite page, click on the tab that says ‘Social Networks’ and from this we can integrate Ping.fm. Ping.fm allows you to control all your social networks from one site, like your Facebook, Myspace, etc. So if you add your Ping.fm site to your Hootsuite site, your RSS feed will be checked and not only will update your Twitter, but now since you integrated Ping.fm, all of your other social media sites will be updated as well! This basically gives you the ability to automate all your social networks.

Keyword Monitoring: Now that you know how to automate all your social media sites, now all you have to do is monitor! Now in any of your social accounts in Hootsuite, add a column and then press ‘keyword tracking’ then choose a few keywords or phrases, like your location or any other key word for you niche. This ability helps you single out people and make them feel special, it really helps your communication with new potential customers.

You want to convert your facebook groups, profile pages, and fan pages into sales for your company. Your goal is not to trick people into becoming fans of your pages. Social media has become extremely transparent; people will see through your tricks, so do not have a hidden agenda. If you have a hidden agenda people will see it and will not want to be a part of your facebook groups nor have anything to do with your business.

Don’t be that guy – the guy that walks into a party immediately trying to sell his product. Don’t be the guy who goes out and spams. People will get annoyed and turn away from you and your business. Social media is similar to a party. Provide something of value to your potential customers. If you provide value to people they will come to trust your business and will consequentially purchase products from you. Providing value to your niche is key to your company’s success.

Position yourself – position yourself as an expert. How will you get people to trust you? Especially on the internet. To gain that trust you need to position yourself properly. Become the expert so that customers will have confidence in your business. You want to become the source of credible, quality information. Potential customers will – in their mind – recollect that your business provided quality information on the subject and they will want to buy products from your company because you know what you are talking about, they will also suggest your business to their friends. This will drive more leads and convert more potential customers into sales generating profit for your company.

Know your audience – know who you are speaking to so that you can provide them the right information, the information that is pertinent to them. With that, don’t waste your time on the wrong people. If you continue to market to the wrong people, you will exhaust yourself and waste valuable time and resources. Accept that there will be some people who don’t want to be sold, and avoid them. Talk to the people who desire your product and want to buy from your business. 10% of people love you and your business. 10% will never buy from you. The other 80% are on the fence – provide value to them and capture their attention.

Wrap all your sales in content – this is extremely valuable to social media. For example, if you are giving away a two hour webinar at the end of it you can suggest your website so that people may continue on to your site if they wish to know more. Another example could be, if your company sells supplements, provide a recipe and then if people are missing ingredients they can purchase those ingredients from your business. By providing awesome value in your content, you also pursue a sale.

The 5-1 rule – for every five pieces of content that you give out have one sale. Don’t over sell or people will get burnt out and be turned off.

There is a list of five things that you can go out and implement to drive more leads, more sales, and more profit for your business.

Small business advertising is often times described as a science, once you get the process down it is simple. You must understand the laws of advertising – no matter the size of your company – in order to reap success. There are Six Laws to small business advertising that your company should follow for implementing their marketing budget.
The Six Laws for Small Business Advertising Success
1. Stick to one message. Keep it simple and convey your core message in three seconds or less. By doing this customers won’t get confused. Also, it will be something that can stick in their heads.
2. People distrust advertising, add credibility to your ads. Make sure that your claims are real and credible, giving customers a reason to trust your company.
3. Test everything. Small businesses don’t have the luxury like big businesses to waste capital on sales and marketing plans that will not work. Test one item at a time so that you can measure the success of your marketing materials. Make sure to take note – if successful, do it again, if not successful scrap the idea and move on to a new technique. Testing doesn’t have to be complex. It can be as simple as asking customers how they heard about your business after having run different forms of ads.
4. Your business advertising will target a specific market. Tailor your ads to that specific target audience. Focus your message to the target group and make sure that the ad is placed in relevant locations.
5. Create curiosity in your customers. For example market a free video that will build curiosity making your customers want to know more. Create ads that build interest and make the customer want to learn more.
Small business advertising takes time. It is not a quick fix, so be patient and take detailed notes of what works and what doesn’t work. Stay on top of your small business marketing material and you will generate success for your small business.

Today, we are going to teach you to dominate your local market in less than ten minutes using the social media website, Twitter. Here are three easy steps to geo-market your potential customers.
1)	Identify your target
2)	Execute the Plan
Identify your target: You need to focus on local media outlets, restaurants, and venues. Twitter is a great way to interact with real people in real time. You can easily search your location, and now you can geo-target your audience. If you don’t have a Twitter account, you can quickly sign up and start using the free marketing site! Next look up to the “find people” button and type in your city, like San Diego, and you need to look at the venues, media outlets, and restaurants. And from these Twitter accounts you find through search you will find your local targets.

Execute the Plan: Increase your following, engage your peers, and distribute quality content.

1)	Increase your following:
From the Twitter accounts of the different local media outlets, restaurants and venues you searched, you want to ‘steal’ the followers. For example, we searched San Diego for the location and now we chose Fox5 News as the focus and where we want to find local followers we want to engage in our business. First you go to their followers, and we start to add all the people of Fox 5 News’ followers. And why do you do this? Because it is an easy way to get people to follow you back, statically 25% to 50% people will follow you back. The best time of day to follow people are later in the evening and during the weekend.
2)	Engage your Peers
When people start following your Twitter page, people will see all your updates. You need to interact with the people who follow your Twitter page, do this by responding to their ‘Tweets.’ Engage with all the people that are following you and from that you can start creating a viral effect and you will start receiving more and more recognition.
3)	Distribute Quality Content
This last part is more along the lines of actually distributing quality content that is going to drive revenue to your business. For example if we make a new blog post, we can use our Twitter account to advertise it, saying “Hey, we just made a new blog post on ______” then put the URL in the tweet. Be careful on your tweets, do not start spamming, but provide value on your Twitter page.

Many of the emails you receive are autoresponders and follow-up messages, how do those work? Today, we will teach you how to write proper autoresponder messages and that term includes email marketing messages. So what is the exact meaning of autoresponder messages? Well, they are a series of prewritten messages that are sent to people who just recently opt-in to your email list that include valued information or a sales pitch, hopefully a level combination of both. So the question is how to write the perfect autoresponder message that will engage those new potential customers? Here are some great tips to doing so:
1)	Always provide value
2)	Sell because obviously you’re a business, but if you try to sell, wrap it in content!
The ratio of amount of actual value you provide to a sent autoresponder message that might be a sale is 5 to 1. That basically means if you were to send out 6 emails to future customers, there needs to be five valued information messages and one sales message.
The timeline of autoresponder messages depends on your business, maybe you want to draw it out for two weeks or even six months. It depends on your niche and what will be the best for your business. So the timeline is really up to you and what is best for your business, but let’s create a sample timeline of 6 days.

Day 0- Use a message with massive value, and no sales. Use a welcome or congratulations email, and make the potential customers feel a part of your community. Also put the links to all your social networks, like Facebook, Twitter, and etc in hopes they will join all of them. This is huge part of communicating to the new audience, the more places you can connect with people, the more you can interact with and engage them and eventually sell your product or service!
Day 1- Use a value message and include social networks again.
Day 2- Use a value message and lead up to the sale you will give in Day 3, like advertising a webinar or a special offer that will be held the next day.
Day 3- Finally send the sales message, but remember wrap it in content; so present value by showing the potential customer that you can solve a problem that they have. So depending on your niche, you want to show you can solve a problem that many of the people in your niche have.
Day 4- Follow up on the sale and give some more value regarding the problem you can potentially solve, and maybe a last minute chance to buy your product or service.
Day 5- Start onto a new topic or a new problem that you can solve and start providing value around that new problem.

Remember it is never a bad thing to ask people to buy something; you just have to provide value to your potential customer which is the ability to solve a problem. Ask for the sale correctly and that is by always presenting value. Head over to nlprofits.biz for more training tips and advice.

Here are a couple quick recommendations on increasing email deliverability rates:

1) Make sure you use a reputable email marketing company; we know it should go without saying, but some people will go with a cheaper email contact management company, but if you do go cheaper, your emails will not go through. If you spend a little bit more money for a better email management company, you will instantly see your email deliverability rates increase and that extra money you spent will easily be recouped with the sales you make.

2) Use a Double Opt-In: If youre not using a double opt-in, your emails may be sent from a different server. So the email companies will use different email servers, one for single Opt-In’s; this means it will be ‘spammier’ and one for double Opt-ins which is cleaner and odds are your emails are going to get delivered better. Ask your email provider about email servers to understand single or double opt-ins.

3) Don’t make your emails ‘spammy!’ Most companies use spam arrest checkers and they will tell you if your email will be blocked for spam.

Words like ‘Cash’ or ‘Money’ or ‘Viagra’ or anything doing with porn will be caught in spam

If there is a large product launch or big people out there with the same subject, emails may be deemed as spam because so many emails are going through with the same keywords or links.

4) Watch the size of your emails. Make them small as possible. If you use pictures understand it might decrease the email deliverability. And also people might not be able to see them because html may not be read on phones or that email company.

Now that you have your domain name for your business, you will need to find a good hosting solution. We like to recommend Liquid Web, for reasons like reasonable prices, incredible support and much more.

Couple things you need to look for in a good webhost:

1) Price: You need to find a webhost who offers reasonable prices and are not trying to cheat you. A good price is under $20 a month and a good amount of disk space and a large amount of GB transfer, and also a couple free domain names are always a plus! A reasonable price can be found at Liquid Web, their standard price is $14.95 for 1GB disk space, 120 GB transfer, AND 2 free domain names.

2) Support: The last thing you want is your website to go down and no one is there to help you. A large reason why we like to use and recommend Liquid Web is their phenomenal support, which is up 24/7 and 365 days a year. Usually they get back to you within an hour which is awesome and from there you can quickly get your website up and running again.

3) A couple things that need to come with a webhost:

Unlimited domain names

Unlimited email addresses

4) If a webhost gives you one-click installs like: a Word Press Blog, a forum, or a CMS solution. If you don’t know how to do these things, the one-click installs will make your life a lot easier. These one-click installs are offered by Liquid Web, and even if you do not know how to use these installs, you can call support and they will take you through everything step by step.

Another place we recommend is 1and1.com. Their support is a little bit slower than Liquid Web but still great. Their webhosting prices are very reasonable as well; you can even find discounts when you first start out with their webhosting prices. They also give you free domains, and a fair amount website transfer.

If you want to look for more resources we recommend like Liquid Web and 1and1.com, you can find those at nlprofits.biz/resources.
